My Random Weirdness

Drawing My Life Away

MLE the Kismet Harrassed

Duct tape

Pretty pretty are the girls as they go by
Chilly chilly is the air under moonlit sky
The windows watch you as you walk along
And the streets lead back to where you started from

The city's watching and you can't get by
No matter where you hide you know the buildings have eyes
This place is lonely but you can't get away
No matter what you say you know the buildings have eyes

Silly silly are the thoughts that fill your head
Wish I'd never set out, wish I'd stayed in bed
You see reflections from across the street
So you better start movin' stop draggin' your feet

The city's watching and you can't get by
No matter where you hide you know the buildings have eyes
This place is lonely but you can't get away
No matter what you say you know the buildings have eyes

Money money, gotta get some money and run
Its an issue I find unenviable
It doesn't matter which way you turn
But you gotta keep trying cause you never learn

The city's watching and you can't get by
No matter where you hide you know the buildings have eyes
This place is lonely but you can't get away
No matter what you say you know the buildings have eyes

Funny funny how the world goes round and round
You better watch your step don't make a sound
The windows watch you as you walk along
And the streets lead back to where you started from

The city's watching and you can't get by
No matter where you hide you know the buildings have eyes
This place is lonely but you can't get away
No matter what you say you know the buildings have eyes

Radiation done!

Tired and sore but no more driving to Vacaville every weekday ^_^ Now to wait for my skin to go back to normal again and my energy to come back. Hope it doesn't take too long . . . >.>

Next stage to begin

Finally got in touch with the Radiation Oncologist, had my first appointment today. Nice guy. Did his damn research, I have to give him that. He brought up things and problems that I hadn't thought about in YEARS. It's decidedly odd to be going to a doctor who actually LOOKED at my chart and took notes O.o. I wish I could have him as my regular doctor XD

I go back on Friday for a plaster cast and an MRI and a bunch of other stuff in prep for my treatment. Thankfully it's only going to last 3 1/2 weeks as opposed to 6, which is good news. I hope I can schedule it so that I don't get caught in nasty commuter traffic and can still work. *crosses fingers*

Sigh of relief

Just got off the phone with the surgeon's office.

The pathology came back for all the tissue they took out of me.

They said it looked good, nothing found on the margins.

Which means, no cancer on the edges, which is a fairly good indicator that they got it all out.

I still have to do radiation and the hormone meds but the fact that they seem to have gotten the original crud out surgically really makes me feel a bit better.

Now back to watching "The Fall Guy" XD

Back home

Survived poking, prodding, stabbing, needles, and all the rest, including a visit with a machine called the Mammomat (no, I'm not kidding, it was really called that.). I suspect a ice cream scoop was used to remove the nasty bits but I don't have any proof of that since I was unconscious at the time XD

I am on minimal activity for the rest of the week and I have a post-op appointment on Monday.

My parents sent flowers ^_^ Cats will probably eat them but they're nice for now.

The breast binder they gave me looks like a tube top from the 70's https://img0.etsystatic.com/063/1/9257047/il_570xN.769199124_mq42.jpg only with smaller ruffles and blue flowers :paranoid: Again, I claim no responsibility for that since they took advantage of my unconscious state to display their horrid lack of fashion sense. >.>

Thank you all again for your words of support and virtual hugs (which are better than the real ones right now since a real hug would hurt ^^;)

Surgery Tomorrow

Share
Get it?
Going to have to be at the hospital at 7:45 am. Probably won't be released until around 5pm or so (that's PST for those of you not in the area)

I will try to make some sort of post when I get back, but be warned I will probably be drugged out of my mind.

Might actually be amusing. XD

So, good thoughts, prayers, and all that appreciated ^_^

Just got back from a meeting with my hubby's Aunt . . . who is a self published writer of historical novels. She has hired me to redesign the book cover for the very first book she wrote in order to update it and then e-publish it as well as put out a new print version.

I am very excited! ^_^ *goes to do research on Miwok Indians so I can get some authentic looking stuff for the cover*
